Welcome to my site!
I am a theoretical physicist working on statistical physics and complex systems. My research applies statistical physics to understand collective phenomena across vastly different scales—from electron transport in disordered materials, electron-phonon interactions, and superconductivity in condensed matter systems to the emergence, distribution, and detectability of extraterrestrial technological species in the Galaxy.

We live in a remarkable era. For the first time in history, humanity has the technology and resources to address one of its oldest questions: Are we alone in the Universe?
In this book, I use statistical physics to investigate the search for extraterrestrial life through technosignatures—artificial signals such as radio transmissions. How many technosignatures must exist in our Galaxy for one to reach Earth? What would the discovery of a single signal reveal about the others? And if none are detected for decades, how long might we have to wait? By combining scientific rigor with an accessible style, I offer a fresh perspective on the search for extraterrestrial intelligence and our place in the cosmos.
