
Pyroresistive response of percolating conductive polymer composites
Conductive polymer composites show a pyroresistive response useful for sensing applications, but the mechanism behind the positive temperature coefficient effect remains unclear. Simulations reveal that thermal expansion mismatch induces local strains that disconnect the percolating conductive network, causing a conductor–insulator transition and a sharp drop in conductivity.

Role of particle size polydispersity in the electrical conductivity in CNT-epoxy composites
Carbon nanotube (CNT)-polymer composites achieve electrical conductivity at low filler loadings, but the effects of CNT length polydispersity remain unclear. We shows that conductivity is primarily determined by the average CNT length due to the combined effects of polydispersity and clustering, providing a simple strategy for tuning electrical transport in CNT nanocomposites.

Solution of the tunneling-percolation problem in the nanocomposite regime
We extends tunneling-percolation theory to the intermediate transport regime in nanocomposites. Analysis of experimental data confirms electron tunneling as the dominant conduction mechanism and provides a framework for predicting and tailoring the electrical properties of composites with diverse filler geometries and distributions.
